Mr. VanMeveren is admitted to practice in the State and Federal Courts of Colorado, Wyoming and Arizona. A former insurance defense litigator specializing in medical malpractice, personal injury and bad faith cases, Mr. VanMeveren uses his experience and expertise to obtain just results for victims of negligence. Mr. VanMeveren obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Wyoming and his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Dakota. Mr. VanMeveren served for two years on the Colorado Supreme Court's standing committee on the Rules of Professional Conduct. He currently serves on the Eighth Judicial District's Nominating Commission which is responsible for the nomination of Judges in Larimer County
When not busy with his law practice, Mr. VanMeveren enjoys working in his community. He worked as a volunteer Board Member and chief legal counsel for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Larimer County for five years. He continues to volunteer at local running events and acts as race director for the Lory Trail Duathlon, a fund raiser for local children's organizations. He is also the sole sponsor of the Colorado State University Ram-for-a-day program, providing 20 game tickets to local underprivileged kids for all CSU home basketball and football games.
Mr. VanMeveren is also an avid trail runner, mountain biker, skier and triathlete. He ran the Boston Marathon and is primary sponsor of the Colorado Marathon, the largest marathon in Northern Colorado. He is also very active in the running community and promotion of children's running events. Mr. VanMeveren has completed over a dozen marathons including the Boston Marathon and also many triathlons including the Arizona Ironman Triathlon.
